Changing bank accounts

Just download the Linux version of Firefox.

I havn't had that problem. I did get one letter from an insurance company (annuity provider) saying something like "We've been asked to pay a different account, is that correct?".

That was where I started.

"User experience"

Because the whole site is designed by ArtStudents?, to whom 'Ergonomics', is a branch of mathematics too hard to bother with.

have you tried firefox with an empty test profile, or in safe mode?

Not yet. Honestly life is too short. Probably be involved in nuclear war before barclay's fix their software. I expect there is something cached or cookies that needs clearing.

If chrome works I'll use chromium. Elsewhere chromium is ugly and slow and doesn't work. Hey ho!

After 6 years it still says '2 messages waiting' and when I click on them, it says 'you have no new messages'. They are still sending me empty details of all the stocks I no longer have with them in an account I asked them to close . Total shitshower. Almost as bad as Putins army. The customer service number no longer works, and is transferred to a paying number. Which says 'login in and get help on the website'.

I have been banking with Santander now for many years, business and personal. No bother at all. Linux no issue.

It's all done automatically by the banks. In theory.

We've no local branch anymore though.

I tried one of those, but had to remove it because some hidden warnings have to be answered before the website will work.

Sure, it* does break the occasional site, then I can choose to whitelist the site, or decide not to visit it, the author is responsive to problems.

I see no reasons to ever go into a branch. Last time I did was to verify my existence when opening a business account

Sorry, that was a comment to John, really. Why would one need to run Firefox in WINE under Linux?

My branch is about 440 miles away, Paying in can be done at my local Post Office

Me neither although many seem to like to go in, shrug...

Moot in our town now, we haven't a bank.

+1 (Except their personal account euro facility is heavily restricted)

I encountered the 2FA thing on my long standing NatWest account. One day it went away.

Then I did some cookie farming and it came back. After a while it went away again.

SWMBO deletes cookies on exit. She has to do 2FA all the time.

I have no problems (and never have had) with the above named bank and firefox, on linux.

But I do use a naked browser - ie with no-addons at all, but from its own account specific to banking, and only used for banking.
