Can I disconnect my landline?

I filled the form in yesterday, and received a call from OE today - unfortunately, the callers English was so poor, they seemed they might be a scam caller, so I refused to confirm anything, or give any details away. So if you fill the form in, expect a perhaps strange call back.

At least you got a call, an unexpected bonus nowadays. It's usually "Due to unexpected call volume....".

They followed up the call, with an email suggesting the job was cancelled, I replied to the email, apologising for the reception I gave the caller, and could they put the job back on.

I've just had another call from them, and the job it now scheduled for the 23rd. They went into great detail, making sure of exactly what I wanted to be done, and even offered to remove the internal ex-BT wires. All free of charge, but all I wanted was the outside drop wire removed, pole to the eaves of my property.
