Bosch washing machine floods floor !

Nov 20, 2006 1 Replies

We have a Bosch Excel 1200 washing machine and when it fills for the rinse cycles the water pours out from the soap/conditioner tray in the top left corner of the machine. It is almost as if a pipe is blocked and the water cannot get into the machine quickly BUT it only happens every few washes, not on every wash ??

Any ideas where to start looking ?

Thanks

Brian

The pipe from the bottom of the detergent dispensing chamber to the drum might be blocked with soap residue. Or, there might be detergent residue in the detergent dispensing chamber, which is affecting water flow. Remove the drawer and check for a blockage in the tube and for congealed detergent, clean as necessary. Check that the curved tube that siphons conditioner is not blocked; this is another cause of water leaks. If the machine is tilting slightly forwards that can affect water flow; it needs to be level front to back. Check with a sprit level and raise the front feet if necessary.
