bosch pmf 180 e problem

Hi Had one one of these for 13 months once in a while it failed to start recently - slight jolt got it going now it wont start at all - before I start taking it apart anybody have any idea what may be wrong e.g. do these use brushes ??

I had a similar problem with a bosch vibrating tool (delta sander) and it turned out to be a fatigue fracture in an internal wire. Trivial to fix.

My first one did that after about 18 months. I suspected the switch, but before I got round to trying to repair it I had a desperate need in the middle of a job, so I bought another one.

Maybe, but the customer service is great. I've had my PMF 180 repaired

3 times under warranty, even though times 2 and 3 were well beyond the stated warranty period. Phone them on Tuesday, and they will collect it on Wednesday, and probably return it on Friday. A
