Local newspaper when commenting on a subject it blocks the use of the word `paid`as in salary I thought this strange anyone think of a reason why. It flags up comment blocked delete the word `paid`

Because some idiot programmer has looked at a dictionary and taken fright.

Maybe. But try subbing "bribed" instead and see if that gets parsed.
