I have no idea why, if it was a drill something to do with flooding or (maybe more likely) because were were about a mile from RAF Northolt.

It's the standard "Critical Alert" system. Yes I could disable the whole thing, but there may be times when it is valuable.

The relevant factors for this problem could include: a) iPhone & iOS b) Bilingual message, hence longer than the norm. c) font size settings on this phone

I read the Daily express on line because its free and it makes me laugh. Not a word of truth in it though, and they have now banned me from commenting. So I may discard it. Daily Torygraph is OK at some levels.
Ive almost given up the TV. I was only watching films and I've seen nearly all of them now and there is a better selection on You tube anyway.

I do listen to Classic FM though. It is fairly apolitical.
