Just curious. There's a hob and buit-in oven set for 299 quid in Focus...
Baumatic hobs and ovens. Any good?

My experience with a Baumatic dishwasher hasn't been all that good, though the second replacement is doing quite well now. It could well be that the cookers come form a completely different place of course.
My Baumatic extractor hood is a bit noisy, but almost powerful enough to allow an indoor barecue (my cooking style is not far off that ;-) As predicted by an earlier posting here, the twin 40 watt candle bulbs and holders failed early on but I replaced them with an 11 watt fluorescent. If the motor fails I'll replace it with an in-line unit inside the flue - the stainless steel is worth keeping ....

's actually pretty darn good, the burners have a decent range between piddly and oh my god there go my eyebrows. All the burners seem well manufactured to give a consistent flame all round. The nobs/controls allow for decent easy adjustment of the flames.
Criticisms: The little rubber feet on the cast iron plates keep coming off (no biggie). One of the burners makes an ultra high pitched whistle when turned down low.
All in all, I'm happy with it, as for reliability, it's pretty new so I can't comment.
One other thing, I don't know what hob/oven combination they have in Focus but I searched around and found out 90cm hob plus griddle plate for under =A3100 including delivery and VAT. May be the Focus offer isn't as cheap as you could find elsewhere with more choice... Hope this helps a little.
