I am needing to replace a simple four pin relay or two in a car so what do the numbers on the pins mean?...the old ones just say 123 and 5 this one says 86 85 87 and 30 ????

85 and 86 is the coil. 30 and 87 are the switch contacts. That's all I know.

Yup. The old UK BS (or Lucas) numbers.

The travelling contact 30/51. 87 N/O. 87A N/C. (on a 5 pin C/O)

I'm sure there is a logic to them. ;-)
