You can run over an AMD K5 cpu with a car and it'll be fine bar some bent pins. A lump hammer's in a whole different league of power and smashed the thing to bits ;).

If you put windows on a pc by the time you get it working the hardware's generally worn out\out of date\buggered etc... I think that at the end of the day it's a slower process with the same end result! ..
