android 6 issue

My old phone has suddenly started to display something - samll - in the top right of the screen. Looks like memory and app useage:

5.75/6.3/5.98 com.android.systemui

Not sure how it got there or how to make it go.

if either developer mode or system UI tuner are turned on within settings, try turning them off.

Developer mode is off - I did turn it on but was afraid to dip a toe. Everything within is off

Will try and find System UI Tuner.

It is almost like a Task Manager!

If it isn't right next to developer mode, it's likely you didn't enable it ... can't remember what android versions it applied to.

If you're sure it's off, it might be worth a reboot to see if the CPU usage overlay is just lingering?

I went into Developer Options - found "Show CPU Useage" Turned in on and then off - it went. But a few seconds later it came back on again.

try a hard reboot.

I had no end of trouble at one point after an upgrade getting wifi calling to come on

turning it in and immediately rebooting worked
