Had an embuggerance of a job today. Replaced a shower tray which had a crack in it.
Sort of house where you wipe your feet on the way out to keep the pavement clean. Ever seen orange coloured limescale on a shower screen so thick that you could actually use a scraper on it? Yuk!
Shower screen had to come out, easy enough - held into aluminium channels with a couple of self tappers each side + enough silicone to seal up the holes in the Titanic.
The two aluminium channels remained on the tiled walls, I removed all the screws, the channels didn't budge.
Could not shift them whatever I did & I don't give up easily. Scrapers, thin bladed Japanese pull saw, pry bars, wedges, craft knife.
I guess they were stuck to the tiles with clear silicone.
Sorted things another way in the end, but how do you remove something like this?
