Just installed new GE Profile Dishwasher. Went to test and run it empty. This is what happens.

  1. select quick wash
  2. close door
  3. select start
  4. water begins to flow into tub
  5. Can here relay clicking under machine
  6. water then pumps out of tub
  7. Machine then starts beeping and flashed HrF on LED panel..

I ran all the service tests. Door check ok, Water fills, water pumps, spray arms work, water drains, heater element works. Just wont cycle. Any help?

I’m having the same problem. Did you find out what it was?

Ended up having to call service. They came and found that it was a bad control board

Having same issue. Installed by Best Buy 3 days ago and ran fine for a load or two, the get HrF error code and it will not run and beeps for several minutes.

Two suggestions I found on the web:

  1. Reset the control panel by unplugging the dishwasher (or using the circuit breaker for the circuit powering the dishwasher) for 10 minutes and then restore power.

  1. Press the “start” button for five seconds. It will flash. Now, press both the “start” and the “select cycle” button down at the same time for five seconds. The control panel should be cleared. It should light up with everything operating normally.

Worth a try before wasting a day waiting for a technician.

THANK YOU FOR THE INFORMATION THAT WORKED FOR OUR PEOBLEM!!! Thanks again

This may be a silly question but should the door be closed when trying this reset?

I assume you're trying the sequence to reset the control board.

After unplugging and then reconnecting the power, you need to press buttons on the control panel. Now, think for a second. Since the buttons are located on the top of the dishwasher's door, please explain how you intend to push the buttons with the door closed? The situation speaks for itself.

There are several youtube videos on the web, easily located with any web search engine, illustrating and describing how to perform the reset. If you're still insecure about exactly what to do, those videos should help.
