Thank you. Not having a local Aldi, and the nearest one being a pain in lots of ways (distance, traffic, opening hours/work clash, and a particularly unpleasant branch if ever I do got there), this might be extremely useful.

A note to be wary of the reviews, because items due for release tomorrow (and not despatched before then) already have reviews. Some of them say 'I bought one of these last time', but how do they know it's the same item? In other words, there is no check that the person reviewing actually bought one.

In future, possibly the website will keep the review history so you have access to reviews from the previous time they had it. That could be handy.

I suspect there's a regional variation. They don't necessarily know what will sell in each store (having not sold that item before) so some sell up quick and others will stick around. The other week they had angle grinders in the reduced to clear section for 14 pounds down from 20. Sounds like 'good stuff' even at normal price, just there was no demand in my area so there was a whole bin of them reduced.

I don't have a local Aldi, but this is the case with Lidl.

When they first arrived here, many of their specials would sell out quickly. Things like SDS drills. And anything else I seemed to want.

But these days, they seem to order in a much bigger quantity, so often see 'nice' things left. Or it could just be they've saturated the market for them in this area.
