Co-op South African Rose isn't.

That stuff could fell an elephant for £5 a bottle.

I am afraid as unsophisticated as I am and as fond of South African wines as I am, I will give that one a pass.

I tend to go by the colour of the food as much as anything. White for cod or chicken; rosé for tuna, salmon and anything with a lot of tomato in it.

Apparently many people can't tell the colour of wine in a blind test.

Indeed. Pink tastes like white mostly. Red is usually pretty different
