45amp Cooker Switch

Hi i have a 45amp cooker switch with a socket switch as well is it possible to replace this switch with just a standard single 45amp cooker switch without the socket, any advice would be appreciated.

You mean you have a cooker switch with built in socket, and you want the same thing without the socket?

Yup that is fine - its a straight swap in theory, although it does depend a bit what shape the current one is. You may find if the current one is the width of a double socket, it will be hard to find a simple switch on its own the same width. Then you might have to dig out the back box and put in a single one and make good the rest of the hole.
