SOT: Pan newsreader problem

I still use Windows because some bits of specialised hardware only work with it (ignoring Apple for the moment). I used to use Linux a lot more, but don't really bother now. Cheers Dave R

Apple has just updated its notebooks - there's now an entry level 13 inch aluminium Macbook Pro (renamed from plain Macbook) with Firewire 800 and the recently bumped up white plastic Macbook has FW 400. E.
