does a submersible well pump need priming if water level in well drops too low? left my garden hose on overnight, now can't get pump to work. Maybe well is dry, or pump is out of prime? Thanks for your help. JC

No a submersible will not have to be primed. Check for a low water cut off on the pressure switch, a little lever that you raise until pressure builds usually above 15lbs then release it.
