Body Shower pressure and volume

Nov 22, 2004 1 Replies

Is it correct to think that if 4 body shower heads are fed from one 1/2" line the volume per head will be reduced to one forth of the 1/2 inch line with the same pressure. The shower heads (kohler k-8506) use 2.6 gallons per minute for a total of 10 gallons per minute. Will one

1/2" line hold this much water at 60 psi?

Thanks for any help

Do you mean that the four heads are all using the same shower valve? If so, then the limitation will be how much water will go through the valve. If you mean that you're piping four individual showers, then run 3/4" till you can branch off and run two showers each on 1/2" If I'm totally missing the point, then someone else will jump in.
