External stone window sills had paint on already and had been sanded down. Bitumen paint applied over the top by mistake. What's the best way to remove the bitumen paint please?

I'd torch (

) and putty knife and wire-brush off the bulk and then hit the residue with a scrubby or stiff brush after applying Tar and Bug Remover from the Auto Parts Store (

).
- Chemical Paint Strippers won't get into the brick's nooks and crannies, but they can be used for the bulk removal if desired. You'll need a Paste Stripper (

) that can sit for a day or 2. The liquid strippers only remove a skin at a time and will require a dozen applications.
