Because they think it makes them look cool or internet savvy somehow. The whole purpose of "no archive" was if the post had no value - ie a test post. Eric
Or, it's off topic, of no interest to any but one person, may be incorrect, may deflect a thread on the right track, unsure of the accuracy & don't want to mislead any who might follow the advice, etc etc etc..
Besides, it's their right; why worry about it?
