Why are Li Ion UPSs so expensive?

I prefer touring in a canoe. Like with a bicycle, it's a vehicle for travelling and enjoying scenery, not for performing tricks.

Some of the hiking trails are designated for foot or horse traffic only. Also a bicycle is a mechanical device so areas with a wilderness designation are out.

The new switch backed trails take all the fun out of it. There is one trail that looks like a nice loop if you're not looking at a topo. Up Spring Creek, over to Rattlesnake Creek, and back to the trailhead. The fly in the ointment is Strawberry Ridge. Before the new trail it was straight up one side and down the other.

Whenever hiking or camping, I've always quickly gone off official people trails and follow an animal trail. Takes you where few others go and get to see.

I'm not good at coloring between the lines either. There are places where leaving the trail is painful and I avoid those. Deer trails are good. They can be steep but deer aren't mountain goats and aren't going to lead me off a cliff. I do wish they were a little taller though. Bears are even worse with their 3. high tunnels through heavy vegetation.

What was the battery doing when producing the gas? Was he deliberately overcharging it?
