Unplug it before you start? Cold controls are about the simplist things to do...just take the old one out and install the new one and put it back together...

Fairly easy to change :) Remove power, remove the 2 knobs and the plastic cover/housing has a couple of screws to remove it....once you see the old on inplace the new one will be easy to swop over. Your should be similier to this one...

I am about to replace the cold control in Sears / Whirlpool Refrigerator Model 106-7629211 refrgerator . Any tips ( like on on running the capillary tub) are appreciated . -thanks
