Same here. Maybe in a few years, Terry will sell his splitter only slightly used with maybe 10 hours on it.

Great if you can. The day I turned 65 they had a cake for me at work. There was, of course, some kidding about Medicare. The next day I was on crutches with a screwed up knee. That slowed me down for a long time. Steps can still be a problem.

Damn , that sucks . I have aches and pains , most are taken care of by OTC meds - but occasionally I need something stronger . I know what makes me hurt and limit or avoid those activities . A session of splitting would leave me in moderate pain , but this new tool is going to make a lot of difference . I was dreading getting enough wood split for next winter , now I'm more concerned about getting it out of the woods . I have made some "paths" thru the woods with the front blade and mower deck of my Rusty Tractor , which makes the size of my little yard trailer the limiting factor . Beats the hell out of hauling rounds out with a hand truck ! For the area farther away from the woodlot I plan to transfer the wood to my 5 x 8 utility trailer to get it back to the woodlot . One cool thing about this splitter is that it is set up to tow a trailer behind it (limited to 15 MPH so no over the road) . I can set up out in the woods and split there which will let me get more wood per load ...
