After seeing this on the news tonight, no way should you get up there, especially if you are 86.
Should you blow the leaves off your roof?

I had an 81 year old neighbor missing a few teeth after falling off his roof. There was another 75 year old taking down a partially fallen tree to have it fall on him and kill him.
I find it easier in recent years, to go to the ATM and get what you need for proper service. Much safer.
Same here. A few years ago I bought leaf filters from HD but wife did not want me going up ladder to clean gutters and install them even on first floor. We have a landscaper for grass etc and he put them up in trade for an old aluminum ladder I had.
Had wanted to mention these here in ahr as the leaf filters have been up about 3 years now and work great. I have a magnolia type tree that clogged gutter is the spring with flowers and in the fall with leaves and it was a real PITA to clean gutters twice a year.
