How is window tint a scam? My car has some tint but not nearly as much as what is optional aftermarket. I went with 50% and it is much more comfortable. Legal in Florida is 28% and no factory comes close to that.

You are welcome to not like it but that does not make it a scam. Thousand of cars in sunny climates have it.

It is a scam when they don't do it. There was no film on the car they tried to sell me. Personally I would not want that crap. It may be OK if you are flipping cars but down here it will bubble up in a few years and be a pain in the ass to remove.

I have limited dealing with Florida car dealers but the one I use does put the film on. Good quality film will last 10 years.

I never bothered up north but it sure is nice to have down here. I won't be keeping the car for 10 years so I'm not worried about it.

I tend to think of the SUV as a station wagon. I guess that the marketing people came out with the SUV to sound like something better than a station wagon to make them more popular and up the price.

I can see limited purpose for them but I prefer a trunk over a bunch of junk in the back.

The hatch backs and SUVs are good for people that can afford or only want one vehicle. My dad had a truck I could borrow if I needed one,but after he got old and mon died he got rid of it. I made do with the hatchback for a while and finally broke down and bough an old used truck fo a few hundred dollars.

Finally got in better financal shape and bought a good truck. I do agree a truck is a better way to go,but sometimes one has to make do with what they can afford.

Like, but not identical to. SUVs typically have some sort of all-wheel drive, whereas station wagons didn't. Some SUVs are based on a truck chassis. My husband's FJ Cruiser is on a truck chassis, where my Highlander is based on a car chassis.

Station wagons are not nearly as popular as they once were, and many fewer are manufactured.

We're a two-SUV family. We both hate sedans and pickup trucks. We could afford for one of them to be a car and/or one of them to be a truck, but that's not what we want.

I had a Jeep Commando (formerly the Jeepster) long before the SUV was cool. It was just us, Suburbans, Broncos and Land Rovers in those days.

The point was, this guy (Ft Myers Honda) didn't do anything. He just tacked on the charge.

I thought automakers stopped building station wagons in the 70's. Whenever it was, I've never thought an SUV is like a station wagon, except in some larger sense like both are a type of vehicle.
