Just like this stupid mother of 4 that died from it.  She is saying

While the shot may or may not be 100 % safe it is the best we have at this time. I do not care who dies if they do not get the shot. I really feel sorry for the children and others left behind. Then there is the problem of some of my money going to pay the funeral expenses. Maybe not directly, but by taxes or funerals going up to pay for it.

Just as I don't think we should waste time and effort on the ones that do really stupid things. Like a man that several times had to be saved that likes to climb outside of buildings for fun. Just let him drop. Maybe or maybe not save him one time and no more.

Some states like New Hampshire are charging victims for their rescue from Mt. Washington if found negligent.

Supposedly PA has enacted a law that calls for fines for drivers that boat their SUV's through the maelstrom. We had some major flooding lately but I haven't heard of fines...

Yes, they can call it a Stupidity Tax.

Yup, you think the organizations that do the actual rescues will see a dime?

Years ago New Hampshire has a Hike Safe card for $25 a year.

Strictly voluntary. If you don't have one and get into trouble in the back country, call someone who cares.
