Alec Baldwin - producer

One thing I am seeing is that Baldwin may not be charged as an actor that did the shooting, but as the producer that should not have allowed unsafe conditions.

Do you have also a citation to support Frank's assertion that Baldwin "knew that real ammunition was present on the set?"

I note our traitor did not check himself. That was my point, he was the boss and he is responsible.

How could he not know if he was on the set and people were target shooting with the gun during breaks. Go google up other complaints about safety on the site.

The movie has

6 producers 1 co-producer 5 executive producers 1 line producer

As I understand it, the line producer is the one you want to punish. The other guys are probably providing and/or receiving money.

It was a preventable tragedy.

If the bullet went thru one person and into the shoulder of another, they should be a recoverable bullet.

So, why hasn't the police made than identification available yet?

With a prop gun being able to kill, there should be at least two people checking the "prop" gun before it's use. And they should have to sign a form too.

I don't think "prop" should even be in that name.

And then there is the matter of guns being used in movies.

I have seen plenty of great movies with no guns, along with no sex and no cussing.

The bullet was recovered in the 2nd person

Mary Poppins ? I'm pretty sure that Chitty Chitty Bang Bang has a blunderbus ... John T.

Identify what? They know who shot it and they knew who was hit. Do you mean fingerprints on the casing and see who loaded it?

Yes, either procedures were ignored or not in place. TBD

It should be. Prop guns though, not real guns capable of shooting a bullet. Should be an easy fix.

Sure, but if you make a war movie do you just have the actors shouting BANG?

Each to their own... I liked 'Das Boot'. A friend who was in a nuclear u-boat gave me a tour of a pigboat at Groton. I'm not built to be either a u-boat sailor or a tanker. I like my boats on top of the water. Maybe that rubs off on my movie preferences. I'll go with 'Sink the Bismarck!' any day or 'The Last Ship' with the Baldwin that can act.

Setting aside recent events I didn't think he was that great. I'll admit he was better than Krasinski in the Amazon series. I made it through a couple of episodes of that before giving up.

He's made a lot of movies but I think the only others I've seen were 'The Aviator' and 'The Departed' and he was little more than a bit player.

The armorer's lawyers are trying to throw anyone under the bus but her. She don''t know nothing and was driven to distraction trying to work two jobs for the price of one. I'm getting the idea Baldwin was trying to redefine 'low cost' production and got exactly what he paid for.

At this point nobody knew there was live ammunition. It was smuggled in by a Belding ground squirrel who was pissed off about all the noise and traffic in his home.

I'm going to guess there won't be much receiving going on.

No, the combatants will meet in a safe area to discuss their feelings and come to a consensus.

I doubt that rates a criminal charge but the civil attorneys will be all over it. I see a wrongful death suit with liability being assessed from the top down. The only question is how much protection the LLC gets them.

The question will be "if not, why not"? He is the one likely to make the most money from this movie and he took on role as producer. That makes him ultimately responsible for what goes on there. If the crew was taking prop guns off the set to shoot at cactus or something, he owns it. The armorer says that didn't happen tho.

This is troubling even if nothing else happened

"Baldwin?s stunt double accidentally fired two live rounds after being told the gun didn?t have any ammunition".

If you have ever fired a .45 LC with live ammo, you understand he would instantly know it isn't a blank from the stout recoil. Why did it take him 2 shots to figure it out?
