We should have just stayed with horses, trains instead of planes.

And in the meanwhile, tRUmpSSIAN goons continue tearing apart America and trashing Law, and the Constitution, turning our country into just another third world Dictatorship.

Nothing tRump has done is in anyway different than what a Russian agent would do to destroy their biggest opposition.

Horses, or walking, would suffice.

What is revealing is you have no argument against the obvious facts.

  1. The liberals took away my right to choose a lawnmower of my choice.
  2. The liberals passed a law (which punishes me) if I choose what I want.
  3. Worse, the liberals based that law on their purely religious beliefs.
  4. As the liberals are science deniers to the core when it comes to that.

In summary: a. Liberals take away your rights b. Liberals base those laws on their religious beliefs alone c. Which proves these liberals are science deniers

Having proved that point, I'm not making any claims about conservatives, unless or until someone shows me that the conservatives made that law.

I think it's important to be clear that the liberals are religious zealots who take away rights, even as I'm sure conservatives do the same.

But specifically on my lawnmower choice...

The liberals took away my rights based purely on their religious beliefs. They're science deniers because their argument is based only on religion.

These liberals mandated that I conform to their religious beliefs. I resent that.

Remember please that I have no problem with lithium lawn mowers.

My problem is the religious mandate that I lose my choice of mowers. The law (which punishes for non conformance) is based on religion. Not science.

I don't mind the CHOICE of a lithium lawn mower. With the PROSPECT of future gains in lithium pollution control.

What I mind, is the mandate.

It turns out by that mandate, the liberals took away my rights. Because they forced me to conform to their religious beliefs.

I live by science. Liberals deny science.

This is not about horse & buggy, but about mandates based on religion. I resent being forced to conform to the religious beliefs of liberals.

Me, me, me. I, I, I.

Nobody cares about your preferences. You're statistically insignificant.

You don't have a right to a lawnmower.

The liberals didn't take away jack s*it. Your desire for a gas-powered lawnmower is your religion.

That's the cost of living in a society. If you don't like it, buy an island and make your own laws.

You whine like a little girl.

Thanks for looking at the calculations. That shows you can think.

Your statement above is wrong.

We're comparing one lifetime of the lithium battery to an equivalent amount of gasoline, which happens to be 6-1/2 gallons.

We're assuming all the previous calculations when we make these further calculations below to calculate the gasoline equivalence.

  1. Factors Affecting Lifespan: Depth of discharge (DoD): Limiting DoD extends lifespan. Charging habits: Frequent shallow charges are better than deep discharges. Storage conditions: Temperature extremes and humidity can degrade batteries. Manufacturer quality: Higher-quality batteries generally last longer. Usage patterns: The number of cycles per year. Typical Lifespan Estimates: For lithium-ion batteries in lawn mowers, a realistic estimate is 3-5 years of typical homeowner use. Given the high usage in a lawn mower mowing a flat 1-acre field half the year, once a week, it is best to assume a 3 year lifespan. Cycles to Failure: 208 cycles a year, times 3 years, is 624 cycles.
  2. Disposal and Replacement: Environmental Impact of Disposal: Improper disposal can lead to soil and water contamination. Even with recycling, the process consumes energy and resources. Environmental Impact of Replacement: Manufacturing a new battery involves mining, processing, and transportation, all with environmental consequences. Calculating Replacement Frequency: If the battery lasts 3 years, the homeowner will need to replace it roughly every 3 years.
  3. Adding Disposal/Replacement to the Calculations: Annualized Battery Impact: To compare the annual impact of batteries to gasoline, we need to "annualize" the battery's environmental footprint. This means dividing the total environmental impact of producing and disposing of a battery by its lifespan. Simplified Approach: For a rough comparison, we can consider the environmental impact of producing and disposing of 1/3 of a battery per year (since it lasts 3 years). This means that we need to add 1/3 of the environmental impact of creating a new battery to the yearly environmental impact of the 6.5 gallons of gasoline.
  4. The hard to calculate part: The hard part of this calculation, is that there is no easy way to equate the environmental damage of creating 1/3 of a battery, to the environmental damage of burning 6.5 gallons of gasoline.

The types of pollution are different, and the location of the pollution is different.

However, it is very important to consider this disposal and replacement into any environmental impact calculation.

When Republicans talk, they’re talking about solutions and aspirations, bettering the economy, increasing energy production, ending wars, things like that.

When Democrats speak however, everything is about destruction. Destruction of Trump, destruction of Elon Musk and Tesla automobiles, etc.

Very few legislators have science or engineering backgrounds to see the total picture. While a device may not emit green house gases the process of making the device and supplying the power to it may be more polluting than the device it replaced. They also do not consider cradle to grave expenses.

I have noticed it in home appliances that do not last nearly as long as older models. If I have to replace one in half the time the old one lasted and energy savings are lost and may even be higher.

Can you support that with facts, not opinion?

That has little to do with energy efficiency. It has a LOT to do with profit. We supplied parts to a few appliance manufacturers and saw how some of the redesigns were done on new models. Lower cost, not the price. Smaller, thinner, lighter, cheaper.

You whine like an obese girl.

Any science I cite will not supersede your religious beliefs.

Religion is faith only and nothing is there.

Science is facts and you have none. Opinion is your religion.

At the same time Republitards are destroying the economy, drastically throwing people out of work, inflating inflation, canceling the constitution, arresting people and shipping them out of the country with NO legal charges, evidence or any law that allows their actions.\

I know you're talking to others but I think my statements are based on facts which I presented (and I'm willing to present even more).

I've done the calculations. So my assessment is based on scientific facts.

Your assessment was wholly based on fabricated future magical recycling rates which proved to me, beyond any doubt, you're a religious person.

I'm not a religious person.

I have looked at the facts as much as I could, using my science background, and those facts do not support a mandate to switch to lithium lawnmowers over gasoline powered lawnmowers because lithium pollutes more than gas.

I need to be clear I'm not against lithium lawnmowers. I'm against the mandate forcing me to buy them.

Especially when that force mandate is based on religion alone.
