Cell phones with cameras are great. Send them a picture of the disaster area and say "I need what ever you have to fix THIS"

.. probably need 2. John T.
Yep and it's all replaced now.
Even replaced the "down" pipe from sink to trap. The old one looked funky.
Yeah, I screwed it up all right.
Anyway...now all OK
I went to a store where I could just walk in.
Small store, I was the only customer in there.
Only two people were working ...Not too worried
Yep. I could take my pick
Because I bought the whole kit I replaced the "down" pipe too. All set now thanks
LOL !!!
Because this was a simple , small order, I just went to the closest store to my house.
Just a bit farther away is an actual plumbing supply store. You walk in and tell them the type of job you are doing, the will then pull the /exact/ parts you need and tell you /exactly/ how to do it.
I've done a few moderately complicated jobs that turned out so well, my wife actually smiled.
I don't understand. This thread seems to be about home repair??
My Ace has curb side but you can still go it if you want to. It is pretty empty in there so distancing is not an issue. I was just there today getting some PVC stuff for my FIL's PT. We are trying to duplicate some of the stuff at the regular place but it is probably not necessary. They keep adding new sessions and I suspect they will keep it up until Medicare shuts them down. That place is empty too and they still want to keep the rent paid.
LOL
Yes. but her sister is married and they are pretty much opposites!
BTW: We did hire a pro to do the wallpaper
Well worth it
That is usually the best way to go, hence the "kit". I usually have stuff like that here but I am somewhat of a pack rat. Neighbors do know to come here when they need something in a hurry or the stores are closed. I have lots of that kind of stuff along with a very good stash of electrical parts.
I even could have ordered on line but I just went into the store>
I was the only customer.
One was just leaving as I was about to enter
<snip>
I know it's been turning to politics but neither side will convince the other.
If someone has opposite views I can live with that.
The only ones I've put in my KF are those who have made really nasty remarks and showing zero logic
Itsit an S trap that drains through the floor? I have seen one of those in an older house, over a crawlspace.
Not replacing the tailpiece generally guarantees you will be repeating the job soon
yea, somebody forgot to put the big OT in front of it - - - -
Yep.
I have a lot of spare parts here.
I was kind of surprised I did not have a sink trap.
Yep. It should all be good for many years.
In this 120 year house, I will never run out of projects though.
That said: after our last vacation, my wife and I agree. Taking a good vacation is way better than having a showcase house!
All figures out now , it was a p-trap
Just checked it this morning, ran the water full blast for five minutes and no leaks.
