It should end forever. Takes a degree in electrical engineering to change some clocks and watches today.
I have no idea why it still exists. Whatever the reasons were ages ago, they don't exist now.
Or get a five year old to do it, if it's too hard for you.
Really? Most of my clocks have a DST button. One clock just automatically changes.
I'll admit the stove clock is weird. I usually just unplug it, and then it's ready to have the clock reset.

I have a couple like that, mostly useless to me since I want to set the clock RIGHT and it's usually a few minutes behind.
However, most computer clocks (and cellphones) are connected to the internet, so the time is set right.
BTW, It's a cellphone I carry round to set the other clocks.

Mine are usually a little fast. They have battery backup, and jump a minute or two every time the power blinks.

Most are intuitive and kids can do them. Nobody could change the time on my fax machine without a manual. I never change it.
My car is a PITA and must have taken 10 minutes this morning. Older car just required buttons on the clock, newer on screen needs computer commands.
Mentioned car in other response. It should have changed but didn't.
