I don't get the connection. The links I included are to the a cappella group Pentatonix. The first is them singing The Songs of Silence. Simon and Garfunkle did that long ago. The second is them backing up Dolly Parton singing Jolene. She first did that back in 1973. They won NBC's The Sing Off competition one year so they ain't half bad.

"Hello darkness my old friend ..." In fact , I think I heard that tune (S&G version) just a couple of days ago in the car - I know it's on the USB stick that's in the radio .

I brought it back up on 10/18 because I think I ran across the version you mentioned. The guy calls himself Disturbed. The first of the two added links is it.
