OT. Little Old Lady Crosses Street
I had my sound off to listen to the radio. It's much different with the sound!
Did it seem she had fallen asleep at the start?
I can't tell. Does it seem odd that his air bag deployed when she whacked the front bumper?
I didn't think they went off that easily, but I guess sometimes they do. I'd better be more careful when I park, or when I hit pedestrians. Heck, even if they're crossing imroperly in the middle of the block, I might have to get an new airbag.
The clip looks a lot like a set-up to me ... but well done and humourous. John T.
I think you are right but it was enjoyable.
Found this: Typically, a front airbag will deploy for unbelted occupants when the crash is the equivalent of an impact into a rigid wall at 10-12 mph. Most airbags will deploy at a higher threshold ? about 16 mph ? for belted occupants because the belts alone are likely to provide adequate protection up to these moderate speeds.
Pretty sure is was a setup but well done and funny.
Which is about 14 ft/sec. That's a pretty strong whack.
It's a fake. Air gags need a lot more than a tap on the bumper to go off and they hit a lot harder than that video.
What goes around, comes around. I first saw that video about 6-8 years ago, maybe even longer ago than that.
