Let's make sure we understand what record you've link to:

Longest Catch *at a Live Sporting Event* - 109 yards.

IOW, not the longest catch on record, which according to Guinness is 134 yards.

Thanks for the credit. ;-)

My son is heavy into Ultimate Disc and Disc Golf. I'm happy because we threw a lot of Frisbee (when it was Frisbee) when he was young. We even threw in Harvard Yard while on vacation in New England.

He recently bought a house on 2.5 acres. He bought a few used disc golf holes and set up a 3 hole course in his yard. For those that don't know about disc golf, this is what a hole looks like:

I threw a lot of Frisbee when I was a teenager/young adult while waiting to go into the concerts at Wollman Rink in Central Park. We had different weight Frisbees for distance, freestyle, Ultimate, etc.

Great concerts too. ;-)

Allman Brothers, Meat Loaf, Jethro Tull, John Prine, so many more. There was always a few dogs chasing Frisbees in the park. Those were some good times.

Have you ever seen anyone play pickle ball? It looks like a slow paced version of tennis. The ball is hollow plastic with holes punched in it.

Nope. (Except for just now on YouTube)

Stickball and Wiffle ball, played that a lot growing up in NYC. Softball - on asphalt playgrounds with a painted on fields - too. Sliding sucked and boy, did grounders move fast!

Stoop Ball: The "batter" throws a Spalding Hi-Bounce Ball or Pensie Pinkie at the concrete steps of a stoop. The "fielder", standing on the sidewalk or in the street, tries to catch the ball on a fly - Out. One bounce is a single,

2 bounces a double, etc. Players kept track of outs and base runners "verbally". Yes, there were disagreements and more than a few fights. Hey, it was NYC. ;-) If the batter could hit the point of a step at the right angle, it was an almost guaranteed home run since the ball would fly over the fielder's head - sometimes into traffic. :-O

Spikeball is quite the rage right now. Not quite as laid back as Pickle Ball. ;-)

I've seen my wife play pickleball many times, as well as a few dozen of her friends and acquaintances, and I've seen hundreds of other people play it while 'we' (not me) are waiting for a court to open up. It's probably the hottest sports craze at the moment.
