I have nothing against EV's but what I object too is the one size fits all mentality of the current crop of democrats who if they have their way will ban ICE car sale and production after 2035.

It is also highly suspicious that they are beneficial to the environment when you look at all the details of manufacture and use and lifetime.

There is talk here about a bill to mandate all new home construction includes a built in car charger. That means whether or not you want one you will have to pay for it in your new home.

Bullshit. A "Level 1" charger plugs into any standard 120vac outlet. It pulls roughly the same amount of power as a toaster oven, so you probably don't want anything else running on the circuit at the same time.

Pretty much any garage since, what, 1960?, has an outlet in it.

The Level 2

Level 2 is a standard 240vac circuit. Yeah, you might have to wire up a 240vac outlet in the garage. Yawn.

No one of normal sanity and income is putting Level III's in their homes.

Again, you'd be hard put to find any garage in the past half century without a 120vac outlet in it.

Dumb reasoning to stir up people with overkill. Why would you want a level 3 charger in your home? Level 1 will work for 99.9% of all EV owners. You come home, plug in, takes a couple of hours. Good chance the car is sitting overnight.

Most new homes are at least equipped to add one. My house has 200A service, as do may today. Agree, putting a charger mandatory is over reach. Ability to easily add one, fine, no more than that.

Your ignorance is showing. Many cars sit in the garage 12 hours a day. Who cares how long it takes?

I wonder if anyone has a solution to the tourist parking at motels, apartment dwellers, and the folks who have to park on the street. I watch the Parking Wars show sometimes. Some people just don't have space for a vehicle they need to do their traveling.

Does that include a fire suppression system for your garage? Wonder if that would even work with Lithium batteries?

This is easy. Charge wirelessly from the pavement (american, not british).

Either while driving (currently tested in two cities) or while parked.
