Mini blinds in winter

I open mine. They cover bay windows on the east side of a room. I can definitely feel the heat from the sun on the floor. It might not help a lot but it's free heat.
Open for sun, closed at night.
Open on sunny days, closed if there is no sun to warm the interior.
BTW...when closed, point the front of the slats down to let in a little light and point the fronts up for a darker experience.
