Magic Chef Oven & Broiler electric issue

Hello,

I have a double oven & broiler oven for the last 20 years (Never a problem) but last night we had a storm and the lights went out for a few mins, ever ything came back on but my oven, the display, inside lights bulbs do not li t up and I cannot turn the gas on.

Any idea on what is going on?

Check the breaker.

Is it a digitally controlled oven? If so, your controller board might have suffered a transient surge from a nearby lighting stroke. I hope that is not the case.

It is a great idea for everyone to install whole-house surge suppressors to protect all of the newer digital, sensitive devices we are using these days.

The clock is digital but to turn the gas and the lights inside the oven are manual, the lights (has a press button) the Gas (has a knob to increase or decrease the gas)

Could have been a power surge. Don't just look at the breaker, turn it off and then back on. Sometimes it will look OK but be internally tripped.

If the breaker is ok and you still have no response, it is possible the controller is cooked.

Thank y'all... I turn the main fuse off for several minutes and nothing... I still have no power to the digital clock display, nor to the light bulb, not even to lit up the sensor for the gas, the whole seams dead but I did notice while tou ching some of the cables that go to the Stove Oven Safety Valve, by mistake the screw driver touch one of the cable to the ground and the fuse went ou t/off. I guess there is some electricity going in?

If you post the exact model # of the oven, we might be able to look up the manual or schematic to see if there is a digital control board and or a built-in fuse or circuit breaker.
