Magic Chef Igniter Issue

Recently the igniter for our Magic Chef oven (Model 3468XTA) died, so we decided to replace it. We've got the part, but can't for the life of us figure out how to install it. The instructions that came with the igniter were very vague. We found the old oven igniter (the one that died), but we cannot disconnect it because we can't find where the far end leads to. It goes from the igniter down a hole in the over floor, which we can't seem to get out. Apart from dismatling our oven completely it's become nigh impossible to fix our problem. I've researched our oven on two sites for Magic Chef (Maytag and one other I can't remember) and both don't seem to support our aging oven. My father has conveniently misplaced the oven manual over the years so that can't help. The Maytag site had downloadable manuals but our model number appears to be invalid. It said that all model numbers are to be

10 digits. The other site I went to claims only to do refrigerators, freezers, and microwave ovens. Our model number is also not compatible there either. Apart from having to either buy a new oven or pay a repairman (neither of which we're not able to currently fund) this was the only place I could think to look for help. Does anyone know the answer?

That was a 7 year old post. You really think the poster is checking back?
