I have a Hayward Star-Clear C-1100 pool filter that is leaking air and water from under the lid when it is on. The body of the filter appears to be fine. I have replaced its O ring. Any solution for this problem?

After cleaning, it looks like there are very fine cracks (have to look hard under bright light) on the top edge where the lid is placed. Sealing and drying them didn't help much in the 90F degrees hot weather. Using old original and new third party rings didn't matter. The leaks are always on the same areas. Using a lubricant helped very little. Going to wait for the pool man to check it out soon. This filter was bought from the previous house owner. There are various permament marker dates on it since 8/10 so I guess it is about eleven years old.
