I have a GE Potscrubber 1200. As of late the soap seems to be collecting around the dispenser. The general performance of the unit seems to be degrading. Is there regular maintenance or a fix for these units ? Is it time to buy a new dishwasher ?

Hi Derek,
I'd check the water fill level first. Start the DW, allow it to fill, and after it's started to wash, opeb the door and see how much water's in the tank. Should be partway up the float.
The fill valve screen can clog, and since your machine is 'time-fill', there can be too little water to do the job. Pretty common, especially on well water.
