Dewalt charger died, anyone know how to fix?

Just stopped working. This is the one with the button that you press every 10th charge to optimize the battery charge.



The unit has a torx screw in them with a piece in the middle so your trox bit will not work, great!!!

Standard Torx security head. You can get drivers from them from fastener's outlets and good hardware stores.

Look in the yellow pages for stores that rebuild/repair NiCads, NiMH batteries. Good possibilty that the technician there can also repir the charger for you, or may have something better. HTH

Also, google Dewalt battery charger recall. Some of their units have been under a continuous recall for defects. You could be owed a free replacement.
