Are any of the Oetiker ear clamp rings suitable for use with PEX tubing for domestic water supply? Will these clamps hold up to a pressurized system?
These certainly seem easier to install than the usual black copper crimp rings.

If they work and are cheaper, then why doesn't *everybody* use them?? Unless................its been tried and it didn't work, and/or the manufacturer won't stand behind their product unless its been installed to their specs.
What's so hard about crimping the crimp rings?
yeah, just use a worm-screw hose clamp on them...
