Plain windows to Georgian?

My new house has recently had replacement double glazing. The glass is plain but I would like to have a Georgian look, perferably without replacing the glass and/or frames!

Any ideas?

Thanks in advance.

You could stick a wooden moulding on the outside but it will look a bit shit from the inside. Sticking mouldings on inside & out doesn't really work due to the gap between DG panes which gives a strange parallax effect.

Better fakes have astragals (glazing bars) between the panes and better still have them between the panes with mouldings inside & out where the astragals between the panes break up the parallax effect. These suggestions require replacement of the DG units which although cheaper than new frames is a significant outlay and a lot of work.

Cheapest and naffest is stick on lead effect tape :-/, might be acceptable if you have 20mm tape or 2x10mm side by side.
