I just installed a Maytag glass top range and the display won’t light up. It’s brand new. Burners work fine.

I understand you're having trouble with the display on your new Maytag glass top range. Can you please confirm if the burners are working properly? Are you able to set the temperature and turn the burners on and off? Also, have you checked to make sure the range is properly plugged in and that the outlet is functioning? Additionally, have you tried resetting the range by unplugging it for a few minutes and then plugging it back in? Lastly, have you checked the user manual or contacted Maytag customer service for troubleshooting suggestions?

Here are a few things you can try to troubleshoot the issue with the display on your Maytag glass top range:

  1. Check that the range is properly plugged in and that the outlet is functioning.
  2. Make sure the circuit breaker for the range has not tripped.
  3. Try resetting the range by unplugging it for a few minutes and then plugging it back in.
  4. Check the user manual for troubleshooting suggestions or any specific reset instructions.
  5. Look for any loose connections between the control panel and the electronic control board, if you see any disconnection, reconnect it.
  6. Check the electronic control board for any burn marks or damaged components.
  7. If the issue persists, it may be best to contact Maytag customer service for further assistance.

Please note that you should use caution when working with electrical appliances, and always refer to the manufacturer's instructions and warnings. If you have any doubts, please contact a professional technician.
