i think it all started with the start of cubism , it all took shaped there ,but if we really look back, what you say hit it off , and when will you say it really began ,

Most all architects need to study 'History of Architecture'. Go to the library and all your questions will be answered.

Um, no. Most historians agree that "modernism = technological advancement", or 'technological' art. So yeah, the skyscraper, mass production.....started in Chicago pretty much, DUH.
