Removing my A/C condensation pump

Correct that is a safety cut out switch. It is wired in series with the control circuit to shut down the A/C in case of a stopped up drain and overflow. If the unit is in an attic it needs to have protection in the secondary drain pan. If you are sure you can be safe from overflow damage from water you can simply cut and wire nut the two wires (hopefully red) that go to the pump together. These are 24 volt wires. I hope this helps.
