Ryobi Planer Sale at the Home Depot

I am on the Home Depot Email list. They had the Ryobi AP1301 13" portable planer on the ad today for $199. The Home Depot Web site still listed it at $229. So I printed out the email and took it in to the local depot, which had the planer listed at $229 on the shelf. They honored the $199 price on the email, however we did have a chuckle since the ad lists it as a "cordless" planer.

Let us know how the AP-13 works out. I just turned my old AP-12 over the our son after about 14-15 years of use and some abuse. The AP-10's and -12's were great machines. I repaired the gearbox casting and did a general recondition on the AP-12 before I gave it away, but I suspect he will still get a lot of good use out of it.

Forget it! That makes the thing a lot more noisy.

-- "Human nature itself is evermore an advocate for liberty. There is also in human nature a resentment of injury, and indignation against wrong. A love of truth and a veneration of virtue. These amiable passions, are the latent spark. If the people are capable of understanding, seeing and feeling the differences between true and false, right and wrong, virtue and vice, to what better principle can the friends of mankind apply than to the sense of this difference?" --John Adams

I was wondering how many feet it could plane on a charge. :)

Actually the power cord is included, replacement blades are $30.
