Combi Boiler Problem

hello, just wondering if any of you guys could help me before I consider calling the plumber. Basically, when the hot water is turned on and the boiler activated, it starts to shudder, firstly fairly quietly, but becoming louder and louder. After about 5 to 10 seconds it reaching a climax, then stops. If the water is kept running the shuddering starts again after a couple of minutes. Im guessing this maybe something to do with the pressure?

Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

Only guessing, but I think I had something similar when the radiators came on. I was told to check the pressure gauge, which was at 0. This had to show about 1.5 bar. and was adjusted by inserting a key under the boiler.

Check system pressure (0.5-1.5 bar). This could be caused by a partially failed pump. A failed pump would probably cause an over heat lockout. It could be a stuck diverter valve (stuck in the radiator position) together with all radiators shutoff (?TRVs).

Gosh, that sounds just like my old boiler.

Except she does normally takes a bit longer than 10 seconds...
