Can cold garage harm a kitchen being stored before fitting?

I have been given a second hand kitchen but really nice and in mint condition. I am looking around for someone to fit it in the Stockport/ Manchester area if anyone can recommend a fitter? The main thing though is I've been told the cold concrete floor of the garage it is stored in could damage it? I would not think it could get damp for just a few weeks, but ask on here just in case there is some substance to this advice? It is in a waterproof locked garages but simply a cold place? I guess it will be OK for now?

Views appreciated. Cheers Colin

It should be OK provided the floor is not damp, although I can't imagine it's going to be any damper than a kitchen floor

If concerned just lay a sheet of heavy duty polythene across the floor,

cold and dry is perfectly safe

Trouble is that in the cold, it doesn't take much moisture to make it very damp.

Is there any chipboard stored in there already? If so, what state is it in?

We were somewhere around Barstow, on the edge of the desert, when the drugs began to take hold. I remember "Clot" saying something like:

Eternal-september had a brain fart just there. Occasionally a post seems to not go, but it has, and the sender sends it again.

Allow air to circulate under it. Get it off the floor.

I've the same in a wooden shed (rainproof and 2 vents). It's been there since August and the chipboard is still, er, chipboard.
