IME the local guy is fine for this. Most glass companies produce lots of sealed units, and pricing around =A370/ sq metre IIRC (3 years ago, when I was buying a lot). Most spacings, k-glass, toughened, patterned glass, curved, and possibly gas filled should be available.
A lot of mine were non-rectangular shapes, and I needed to take along hardboard templates so local is convenient. Also useful to know someone locally for glazing accessories (butyl tape, spacer blocks etc).
If however you want specials (exceptional performance, special glasses etc), you might need to shop about.
I'd be interested in a website that explains all the options - I've picked bits up piecemeal from what different glass co's offred to me.
That's probably the best route for the reasons stated, parts, hints and tips, knowing what to order in the "language" that the unit maker understands. They may well use System 3, many companies even those that have the kit for making their own frames get the glazing from System 3:
