interesting once you look around at the different sub cultures that appear in the different hobbies that exist
woodworking sub culture has many sub cultures within
there are the scroll saw folks the turners the cabinet makers carvers sculptors wood burners now there are cnc only wood workers
have probably missed some
even within some of those above there is some specificity
like some turners only like bowls or hollow forms
the chain saw sculptors
i like the challenge of repurposing discarded pieces and rarely buy new lumber
but have no choice but to mix it up depending on what i am making
